Join Us in Making a Difference: Support the Fill-A-Cart Initiative

As a business owner, I’ve faced many challenges that aren’t always visible. The daily grind can make it hard to pause and appreciate the incredible opportunities that come with the dedication required to build and grow a business. One of the most rewarding efforts for our team at DT Vendor Management Solution has been our annual Fill-A-Cart initiative.

Growing this initiative from helping just three families in our first year to eleven families in 2023 has been incredibly fulfilling. With even bigger plans for 2024, we’re excited to continue this work and see where it takes us.

I know firsthand what it’s like to experience profound hunger. Growing up in Venezuela, I often lacked meal security and depended on the charity of friends. This experience taught me that while humans are capable of amazing things, energy is essential. Without the energy to get out of bed or with hunger so overwhelming that it consumes your thoughts, it’s hard to achieve much. This personal experience drives me and our vendor partners to tackle this issue, making a significant difference in the lives of those we help.

In 2022, we started this effort and provided three families not just a Thanksgiving meal but an entire month’s worth of groceries. By 2023, with support from Automotive Marketing Gurus (AMG) and Experience Development Center (XDC), we helped eleven families in need. These included single mothers with disabled children, a widower working three jobs to support her son, and a family whose sole breadwinner was terminally ill with cancer.

The satisfaction we get from this initiative is unmatched. Each year, we look forward to providing people with the most basic of needs—food.

To do even more this year, we need your help. We need people like Jared Neeves, one of the founders of Run-My-Lease, Mike Delong from Co-Video, Terry Mack, managing partner of Experience Development Center, and JT and Baily Thompson. Their contributions, along with the revenue share from DT Vendor Management Solutions, have greatly enhanced the number of families we can assist.
